P.S., I thought you were a poetry-hating mongrel?
Indeed, one would not describe me as a fan of poetry. Still, I enjoy a small amount of it, though I rarely seek it. More importantly though, popular poetry (which certainly describes Eliot) resides prominently in the public consciousness and as such, I am neither immune nor resistant to recalling its oft-repeated lines and idioms.
