Did you know that the cap-piece on the Washington Monument is made from aluminum? At the time it was built aluminum was considered a precious metal, since it does not occur in pure form naturally and takes a large amount of electricity to de-oxidize. This fun factoid brought to you by my boredom. (Which boredom also caused me to buy Super Mario All-Stars on eBay a few minutes ago.)
Ah it’s nice to read your blog again. Thank you for the giggle.
There is a strange power in the word, ‘it begins’, no?
