Snap! Stephen Chow, the genius behind Kung Fu Hustle and CJ7 (in addition to a bunch of other awesome things), is going to direct the Seth Rogen and Adam Goldberg adaptation of The Green Hornet, in addition to playing Kato. So Chow will finally be making his American debut. Should be interesting. Not many Asian filmmakers have fared well transitioning America. However, it seems that Rogen and company seem to have some understanding of what makes Chow great. Hopefully, he’s given the freedom he needs, and he’s able to deliver the film in time for its Summer 2010 release date.

  1. This seems pretty dang excitin’; I’m glad that Stephen Chow, through your efforts, has become part of my cultural consciousness.
